Please join us for an evening to celebrate the achievements of the first year of Brabners and The Manchester's Rising Stars Fund: Maurice Watkins bursary. This is an opportunity to reflect on the impact of the bursary which was established in memory of Brabners’ former partner Maurice Watkins CBE, and how it has made a real and meaningful impact to disadvantaged young people who aspire to have a career in law.
It is also an opportunity to hear more about future plans for the fund and welcome applications to the bursary in the coming academic year.
Speakers will include representatives from both Brabners and The We Love Manchester Charity; as well as an inspirational keynote speech from The Lord Mayor of Manchester, Cllr Yasmine Dar . Cllr Yasmine Dar is the first Asian woman to become Lord Mayor of Manchester in May 2023.
